Jesus is Asking

“Who do you say I am?” says the Lord

“Who do you say I am?” (x2)

Vs 1

Jesus called His apostles to come and follow Him

Jesus called his disciples, to learn from His word.

And to all those that follow Him, He gives this command

“Spread the good news through  all the land,

Your sins are forgiven, salvations at hand,

And now He’s calling you, Jesus is asking you….?                  CH

Vs 2

Jesus asked His apostles this same question simply put.

A prophet, John the Baptist and Elijah,

Were their answers that did not suit?

Then to Simon – Son of John he turned

And asked – “Who do you say I am?”

Simon answered, “You are the Messiah Lord”

With faith burning in his heart, the Spirit roared!

And now He’s calling you, Jesus is asking you….?                  CH

Vs 3

So what’s your answer to His call? How do we spread His word?

Are we meant to shout from a soap box?

And travel the dusty road?

Putting it simply, all you’ve got to do,..

Is live out His rules of which there are two,…

Love your God and your neighbour is all,

If you do these in your life, you answer the call!

And now He’s calling you, Jesus is asking you….?                  CH
