Road to Emmaus notes
Purpose: Welcoming or exiting song to a liturgy or prayer service – very appropriate for the Easter and Pentecost church seasons.
It has the recurring theme of “God is With us” always (Emmanuel).
Structure: Simple sing-along chorus. Written as a name song for a School called Emmaus, I have found it appropriated for introducing the Emmaus story of the 2 disciples.
